Assistance for members affected by bushfire
At Sydney Mutual Bank supporting our members and communities in times of need is at the forefront of our mission and we’d like to remind our members that we are here to help in this difficult time. Sydney Mutual Bank members directly impacted by the fires may be eligible for support under our Disaster Relief Package which aims to assist with managing the impact of natural disasters on their finances.
Australian Mutual Bank CEO Mark Worthington said: 'We are urging our members in need of immediate financial assistance to contact us so that we may be able to help them and assess their eligibility for the Disaster Relief Package as quickly as possible'.
The Disaster Relief Package offers:
- the opportunity to suspend repayments for up to three months for members with a home loan or personal loan
- a waiver for late fees on home or personal loan repayments
- a waiver of fees for debit replacement cards
- a waiver on personal loan establishment fees as well as term deposit break costs
Members who need assistance should contact their local branch manager or call 13 61 91 (Mon - Fri: 8am - 7pm, Saturday: 8.30am - 11.30am).
Australian Mutual Bank will also donate $10,000 to the Australian Mutuals Foundation (AMF) bushfire appeal. The AMF is re-directing 100% of donations received to the St Vincent De Paul Society to help those affected to rebuild their lives. Your donation can make a difference.
