Formed for community benefit since 2010.

The Karpaty Foundation was formed as a result of the Karpaty Ukrainian Credit Union and Australian Mutual Bank Ltd (formerly Sydney Credit Union Ltd) merger in January 2010 and exists for the benefit of community. The Karpaty Foundation provides grants and scholarships to individuals and organisations for the purpose of building a fair, just, creative and caring society - particularly in relation to the Ukrainian community in Australia and in Ukraine by:

  • Enriching individual and civic life
  • Improving the lives of people impoverished from social or cultural disadvantage
  • Strengthening democratic values and participation
  • Promoting creativity, innovation, tolerance, and the fulfillment of potential for the betterment and improvement of community values in society with a focus on Education and Scholarship, Welfare and Wellbeing, Sustainability and Environment, Heritage & Society and Special projects including Leadership in Society as may be determined from time to time

Grant or Scholarship Application

Requests for a Grant or Scholarship must be made by completing the Grant Application Form or Scholarship Application Form and accompanied by a letter. Please ensure you read the Grant Application Guidelines or Scholarship Application Guidelines before submitting your application. 

The Application Forms are fillable Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format). In order to be able to complete the applications online without issues we recommend saving the Forms onto your computer and opening up using Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill and save. You may download and install Adobe Reader from the Adobe Reader official web site

Grant and Scholarship applications may be submitted via mail or email and should be addressed to:
